This week our members took part in a training not like most. We train on fire prevention, fire suppression, technical rescue and many more types of training related to the career. This one was special and more related to the mental health and psychological well-being of our members.
We would like to say thank you to First Responders Peer Support Network for taking time to communicate the importance of mental health in our industry. Their program is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of all first responders and their families. Their team provides peer support, clinical support, crisis intervention, training, education and community outreach.
We are proud to announce that we had 100% participation from our members and it is our hope that it might help our members to be more aware of the symptoms and to realize that there’s help for them if ever needed.

We at North Side Fire and Rescue encourage any first responders that feels that they might need to talk to someone to please reach out to First Responders Peer Support Network. They are available to you 24 hours a day and more than willing to have a conversation with you. This could be the call to save yourself or a friend.
