We would like to welcome Mitchell Medlin and Gregory Smith from JR firefighters to firefighter status. These two young men have trained hard and been a great asset to the department as JR’s and we know they will be an even more benefit as they now become full members. Mitchell is enrolled in classes at Johnston Community College and looking to join Fayetteville Tech. in the fall seeking his degree in Fire Protection Technology and actively looking a career in the fire service. He hopes to be full-time very soon. Gregory is going to attend UNC Charlotte in the Fall seeking his degree in Fire Science Engineering. His plans are to also become a full-time employee in the fire service. We couldn’t be prouder of both of these two young men.
