Salary: 39,000
Benefits:
State Fireman’s Association: The employee will be enrolled in the North Carolina State Fireman’s Association and the dues for said membership shall be paid for by the Archer Lodge Fire Department.
Fireman’s Pension: Archer Lodge Fire Department will enroll and pay for the employee to be in the North Carolina State Fireman’s Pension.
Worker’s Compensation: The employee will receive benefits according to North Carolina State Law.
Life insurance: the employee will be provided with a minimum $100,000 of life insurance coverage.
Disability Insurance: will be provided to the employee through AFLAC.
Other Insurance: AFLAC accidental and cancer paid by the Fire Department.
Other Insurance: Critical Illness with life insurance paid by the Fire Department.
Health Insurance: The employee will be provided Major Medical Insurance through a group policy contracted by Archer Lodge Fire Department. Also, Dental and vision will be provided. (Blue Cross Blue Shield)
Annual Physical: Archer Lodge Fire Department will provide each employee with an annual physical.
Retirement: The Archer Lodge Fire Department will deposit 10% of the employee’s salary into an Archer Lodge Fire Department Board of Directors approved Company Pension Account. Edwards Jones
Holidays: The employee will be compensated for ten (10) Holidays recognized by the Archer Lodge Fire Department. (compensated at double time and a half)

Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide rapid fire suppression response to protect life and property by controlling and extinguishing fires, perform rescue functions in vehicle and machinery extrication, drive and pump fire apparatus and respond to medical emergencies. Perform in a supervisor role when needed, instruct other fire personnel in operation and care of equipment, daily checks of apparatus and medical supplies, maintain records and prepare reports, participate in pre-fire surveys, provide fire training for the public on fire prevention participate in projects as assigned and clean and maintain fire station and grounds.

9.Current Hepatitis B Vaccination
10.Class “B” Driver’s License

Testing Requirements:
Must pass a Pumping Practical
Must Pass Written Test
Must Pass Physical Agility Test
Must pass a NFPA Physical
